Curtis C`s Diner in Newton

Great staff, owner, menu and most of all the breakfast items. Gravy Train, Omelettes, and cakes.

It serves home cooked meals and are reasonably priced.

The cook is great

One of the only small-town restaurants left in Newton. Love the atmosphere and the casualness of walking in and sitting where you like. I hope they stick around for years to come. It would be a sad day if they ever closed their doors.

I like shopping local and Curtis C's Diner embodies the local spirit of the Newton community. If you like "greasy spoons" then Curtis C is for you. I had the New Mexico burger that has a little spicy kick! Friendly and local. I will always go back when I am in Newton.

Good food decent prices their biscuits and gravy was to die for the only reason that they did not get 5 stars is because a bug happened to fly into my roommates drink. But it was replaced quickly with an apology.

This is a nice little diner. Fun and Friendly staff. Could be a little cleaner but the food is great.

Our family enjoyed the sit down dining experience. The staff and other patrons were so nice to my mom, children and me. Food was delicious and the coffee hot.

This place is like a great Kansas cafe. Breakfast is what I have always ordered. Great gravy, but in my house, gravy has it's own food group.

Visited twice for breakfast. 1st time was great: seating available, good service, food great. Today, 2nd visit, packed, had to wait for a table. Our order got lost. We saw those who'd arrived after us getting their orders. Server seemed less concerned than we would have liked--does this happen often? Manager brought our orders eventually. We got 1 free coffee out of 3 orders. We wiil think twice before returning.

First time trying out Curtis C. Food was alright—a bit disappointed with the dry biscuits and gravy. French toast looked to be deep fried, which I had never tried before. Don’t really prefer this way. Plan to try it again sometime in the future

I love this place, the best breakfast in Newton. The jalapeno bacon is killer!

My husband and sister stopped at Curtis C's for breakfast when I had to have surgery at the Newton Medical center. He loved it. He said the pancakes we huge, fluffy and tasty. My sister said the biscuits and gravy we wonderful - real sausage gravy. I can't wait for my turn to go there. We do t li e in Newton but would certainly ride the motorcycle there.

If you go here and don't get the Ruben you are missing out! All of the food was great! The staff was very friendly and could give many of their favorites. Great hometown food and environment!

The salad bar was disappointing. I ordered a sandwich and it was the smallest $9 sandwich I have ever received. Like complained that the sausage links tasted weird. If the menu dropped the prices 10-20%,I would feel better and probably raise the review to 4 stars. On the other side of this, the hash browns are excellent and eggs were cooked properly.

I have no idea why anyone frequents this place...food and service are Sub-standard by any measurement.

Always get a excellent meal at Curtis C's. Had the Spanish Omelette with hash browns and toast. Very good and filling. Waitress took very good care of us.

I had to try this place. I have a very good friend named Curtis, and his name last name starts with c. We went there for breakfast and it was very very good.

We have do ed here at least twice while visiting our investment advisor and doctors nearby. Nice folks and comfortable environment. They had a Bridge Club meeting there for lunch the afternoon we stopped in for a meal. 😁

My family came from CA for visit, and they were interested in a good old fashioned breakfast. We went to Curtis C's Diner. It was exactly what we wanted. Most of us got eggs, bacon or ham, crispy hash browns, toast or biscuit. Delicious and just the way we ordered it. One grandson wanted cheeseburger, fries, and root beer float, and said it was also delicious. Because they serve breakfast all day, we didn't need to worry about timing. It was a perfect way to start our precious time together.

Great service, and great food at a good cost. Would definitely recommend for anyone who enjoys the diner experience.

Curtis is evidently trying to save money by serving kid sized portions and charging adult sizes prices. I took a picture.. and will share it if and when I get the chance.

Had open faced hot roast beef sandwich. Was delicious.
